Friendsgiving Ideas

Friendsgiving is no different from a thanksgiving party or dinner as we all know it. The obvious difference is in the people we spend it with. Whereas Thanksgiving is spent with relatives, sometimes ones that some of us dread or loathe spending time with, Friendsgiving is spent with our second ‘families’, people we have grown to love over time, in our careers, school days, college, or just our neighborhood. These are people, we are comfortable calling brothers and sisters but are not related to us. People we share our ugly past with, our sweet memories with, and even our ugly sweaters and dirty linens literally. So basically Friendsgiving combines the very best of what you get in thanksgiving, but with a more relaxed group of attendees with relaxed rules away from the prying eyes of nosy cousins, aunties, and other relatives, not forgetting the overbearing scrutiny of a dad to his daughter’s girlfriend. 2022 Succession Uhuru Answers Ruto

For a while now, Deputy President William Samoei Ruto has been putting pressure on the president and firmly placing the ball on the President's court on various issues. The Deputy President has been on the offensive accusing the president of all manner of deeds and misdeeds. Yesterday while launching the universal healthcare coverage, the president could not resist responding to his deputy after months of ignoring him and his tanga tanga brigade. The

President had quite a mouthful to say and in his typical style, though he didn't mention his deputy by the name he left no doubt as to whom his message was directed to.

He made it clear that his party had been at work, ensuring delivery of service to mwananchi and had no time for politicking but since now the time for politicking was here, the Deputy and his tanga tanga brigade will now hear what they have been asking for. He scorned his deputy for trying to spit on his achievements saying one didn't have to look so hard to see what his administration has done. He sighted several projects and also chided his deputy as someone who was out to belittle him to gain an advantage and some votes in the upcoming elections. He added that were it not for the 'handshake' that happened between him and the opposition chief Raila Odinga, then most of the developments achieved would not have been realized.

Going by what the president said, it appears like it will be an all-out war once he starts going around telling Kenyans why he parted ways with his former friend and now Deputy President William Samoei Ruto. It seemed like the president was trying so hard to hold back speaking on some issues concerning his Deputy and at some point, he even said, 'hiyo ni mambo ya ndani, Wacha niwache'. Giving a clear indication that there was more to this than meets the eye. President Uhuru reiterated that when the time comes he will tell the few who would listen to him his preferred choice to succeed him. He left no doubt that Ruto isn't among the contenders.

This has left most Kenyans asking what is it that the President knows that we don't? What could be so damning to separate two bosom friends? Your guess is as good as mine, and we can only wait and hear from him when he finally talks about it.
